About ten years ago, I visited northern Italy for the first time, and I haven't stopped since. It all began with a family trip along Lake Garda and, by chance, led to a Mark Knopfler concert in the Piedmont region. That trip quickly turned into something much bigger, tying my culinary future to this place.
I was struck by the uniqueness of each region and how deeply food is woven into local traditions and identity. What stood out the most was their pride in their cuisine and their dedication to preserving it, even as the world changes. This commitment fosters a strong sense of community.
I started this blog to document the traditional cuisine of each region in northern Italy, share recipes I’ve gathered along the way, and introduce you to lesser-known dishes that reflect the local culture and history.
Buon appetito,
